It’s great to hear about Chinie’s being the first specialty cosmetics store in the nation, offering a wide range of cosmetics, body care products, and beauty equipment. Chinie’s is a local cosmetics store originating from Langkawi, a Malaysian island, and it has recently inaugurated its fourth store nationwide.
Chinie’s One-stop Beauty Solution for Malaysians
The latest branch was established within IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, following its successful launches in NU Sentral and two other outlets in Langkawi’s Pantai Cenang and Kuah.
The company was founded in 2016 by the Ratnani sisters, Kanchan and Vandana Ratnani, under the corporate umbrella of the family-run Rams Home Decor.
The inspiration for Chinie’s came during Kanchan’s travels to Europe. It began as a side project, where cosmetic products were carefully selected and sold within the Rams Home Decor Department Store in Langkawi.
This endeavor aimed to make high-quality yet affordable European cosmetic brands accessible to Malaysians.
The products gained rapid traction, being sold out within two months. The local consumers were drawn to the diverse range and quality of products offered at affordable prices. Encouraged by this response, the family decided to fully support the expansion of Chinie’s.
