Introducing the Leadtek Wireless Fingertip Pulse Oximeter – a small clipped device intended for measuring functional oxygen saturation of arterial haemoglobin (SpO2) and pulse rate for both adults and children. Developed by Leadtek Research Inc, the non-invasive product has recently won an award by Taiwan Excellence.

With the current health landscape, it is more important than ever for consumers to stay vigilant on health matters. This fingertip pulse oximeter uses a lightweight and non-invasive design to detect the oxygen saturation in human blood. Using optical technology, it absorbs red light and infrared light through the perfused tissue to quickly obtain accurate blood oxygen saturation (SpO2).

The built-in anti-motion algorithm can still maintain the accuracy of measurement data in emergency situations. It is convenient for people to monitor blood oxygen level anytime and anywhere, whether it is the diagnosis in the medical institution or the personal home monitoring.

What makes this pulse oximeter stand out from the rest is that it can be connected to the ViewTracker app, enabling caretakers, healthcare practitioners and patients to record and analyse the SpO2 trend easily.

Speaking to Donna Hsia, Leadtek Research Inc representative, she commented, “The current global health situation warrants the public to be alert with their own health matters, with the Leadtek Wireless Fingertip Pulse Oximeter, the SpO2 level can easily be monitored and it can also potentially help to save lives.”

She added, “As we adopt a more health-conscious society, we see a possibility in growing the demand for the product in Malaysia. Suitable to be used to monitor patients and to measure oxygen levels for athletes, this is definitely a powerful small device that one should own in their household.”

Weighing only a mere 26g, the Leadtek Wireless Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is powered by 1 AAA battery with a battery span of 18 hours for normal use. To know more about the product, visit https://www.taiwanexcellence.org
