Earth & Me, a new homegrown sustainable baby products brand, has unveiled Malaysia’s first biodegradable disposable baby diapers. Earth & Me is a brand-new, flourishing sustainable company that prioritises protecting the earth and offering comfort to future generations.

The diapers were released in conjunction with World Environment Day and are made of bamboo that has been obtained in an ethical and natural manner.

Sustainable innovation from Earth & Me aims to immediately address the catastrophic environmental impact of conventional diapers, which are one of the main sources of plastic waste in the world.

According to estimates, disposable diapers take more than 500 years to degrade after being dumped in landfills in their millions. Contrarily, in just 75 days, the bamboo diapers from Earth & Me biodegrade by more than 60%.

Kind to the environment, even kinder to babies

Earth & Me’s bamboo is ethically produced from carefully chosen, sustainable bamboo forests in China that strictly adhere to pesticide and herbicide free standards.

Bamboo is a quick-growing, environmentally friendly alternative that uses less water than other plants during its production cycle because of its regeneration qualities.

Earth & Me’s bamboo diapers are made for both all-day comfort and sleep comfort, drawing on bamboo’s inherent breathability to absorb more liquid than cotton diapers.

As the diaper is soft and hypoallergenic in nature, the bamboo fibres within organically wick away moisture, reducing the likelihood of skin irritation and rashes.

Created with the utmost consideration for delicate babies and their sensitive skin.

The diapers are also naturally odour-repellent and contain no heavy metals, chlorine, dyes, brighteners or artificial fragrances.

“As a mother of two myself, I personally felt the need to make sure that diapers, which are a necessity for every growing family, we were making a more positive impact on the wellbeing of both the environment and my little ones.

Diapers from Earth & Me Are Devoid Of Chemicals

Since newborns take time to build up their natural immunity, it was important to me that Earth & Me’s diapers are chemical-free and prioritise the health and comfort of newborns,” adds Michelle.

Earth & Me’s biodegradable bamboo diapers are available in a diverse range of sizes from S to XL.

The diapers also cater to newborns with various body mass and types, covering weights from 2.5kg to 20kg.

The brand also has plans to develop a training pants variation, providing an additional option for growing infants.

In addition to its signature baby diapers, Earth & Me also offers baby-friendly natural cleansing wipes.

Similarly free of artificial fragrances, chemicals, or alcohols,they feature a selection of plant-based extracts. Including aloe vera leaf, cica (centella asiatica) and grapefruit.

For simpler and more efficient cleaning, the wipes are also larger and thicker than those currently on the market.
